Backwell Festival

Accessibility

We are a small festival but we want to make it as accessible to as many people as possible. The following facilities are available. If you have any queries or special requirements, please email jane@backwellfestival.co.uk and we will do everything we can to help you enjoy the festival.

PLEASE NOTE If you are unable to attend without a personal assistant and are in receipt of certain official accreditation/allowances, you may apply to the festival for a 2 for 1 discount, providing official evidence of  disability. You need to have bought a ticket first and each application is assessed individually.

Site accessibility

Entrances and exits are wheelchair accessible.

Disabled toilets are available – there is one on the field and for the other you will need to please ask for the key from the Information Tent.

Please note the grassed arena, where the main stage is, is not flat, but the slope is more gentle close to the stage, at the high end of the field where the bar is and to the far end of the field where the children’s activities are.

Accessible hard standing is raised giving sight and sound of the main arena. It is a small site, so main stage sound is audible everywhere. Our Tent Stage, Literature Tent, Chefs Tent and food court are on the easily accessible hard standing.

There is no parking on site for vehicles with disabled stickers, but passenger(s) can be dropped off at the artists entrance which is flat. We just need to know in advance.

Guide dogs are welcome.
