The band is the love child of celebrated Bristol trumpeter, Andy Hague, and features some of city’s finest jazz soloists in tunes by Tito Puente, Mongo Santamaria, Afro Cuban All Stars, some latinised Stevie Wonder and a few originals.
Jonny Bruce – sizzling lead trumpet player also co-leads his own big band with Denny Ilett
Andy Hague – trumpet – arranges the tunes, organises weekly jazz sessions at the Be-Bop Club and so much more
Ben Waghorn – tenor sax – has been gaining a lot of national attention recently through his work with Slowly Rolling Camera, Geoff Eales’ Isorhythm and Keith Tippett.
Nick Attwood – trombone. Plays with all the big bands round Bristol, and is a long standing member of jump jive band Fat Man Swings.
Jim Blomfield – piano. Jim demonstrates his mastery of latin montuno styles with amazing speed and stamina
Thad Kelly – bass. Best known for his work with Partisans alongside Julian Siegel, Phil Robson and Gene Caldarazzo.
Lisa Cherian – congas. Lisa is so fantastic, she plays with just about every Latin and African band in the South West.
Andy Tween – drums. Andy has worked extensively with Pee Wee Ellis and Seth Lakeman, and has had his pieces published for Trinity Guildhall drum kit exams.
