Award winning author, Lucienne Boyce is currently researching the suffragette movement in Bristol and the West Country and has recently published a history of the movement. She regularly leads walks tracing key elements of the women’s suffrage movement in Bristol and has also written about women’s war work. We are delighted to welcome Lucienne to our Literature Tent to hear her inspirational stories. Based in Bristol, Lucienne also writes historical fiction and non-fiction. She has published three historical novels set in the eighteenth century, and a history of the suffragette movement in Bristol and the west country. The first novel in the Dan Foster Mystery series, Bloodie Bones, was joint winner of the Historical Novel Society Indie Award 2016.
Lucienne is on the steering committee of the West of England and South Wales Women’s History Network, and is also a member of the Historical Novel Society, the Society of Authors, and the Alliance of Independent Authors.
